The boglands of Ireland are loved by many for its expansive space, encroaching horizon and sublime sky-scapes, but known by few for its tiny details and micro-worlds that celebrate an ecosystem precious underfoot.

Through this work, the form of the Clodonia Lichen becomes a creation of space where the micro and the macro worlds converge. In nature these tiny Cup Lichen stand on average, only a centimetre high or perfectly formed at just a millimetre, while here they stand a meter tall. These pieces work together to describe a silence and a meditative quality of the landscape, they are an expression of the mysterious, alluring and seductive nature of the bog.
